Mexico City, November 12, 2024—In 2025, Cultures in Harmony will celebrate our 20th anniversary with projects bringing people together through music in 10 countries on 5 continents: Afghanistan, Belize, Congo, Ecuador, Mexico, the Netherlands, Philippines, Tunisia, USA, and Zimbabwe! In a time of increased global division, we promote unity, solidarity, and collaboration. More than ever, humanity needs the universal language of music to bring us together.
Over the rest of 2024, we will be sharing with you memories from our 20 years of projects as well as a look forward to our work in 2025. The good news is that we will be able to implement these projects for only $20,000! So, we are looking to raise $1,000 per year of our operations.
Please make your tax-deductible contribution today! Anyone who donates at least $2,000 will be acknowledged as the sponsor of our work in a particular country in 2025. Donations of all sizes are welcome! We will also be announcing other ways that our donors and supporters can be involved. We will use the hashtag #cih20 throughout the year.
Memory Lane: Moldova 2005
Our first project in 2005 took us to Tunisia (which we’ll share more about in a future communication) and Moldova, where we collaborated with UNICEF to present a benefit concert in Chisinau, the capital, which collected over 6,000 books, many of which were then distributed at concerts in rural areas. The project helped show that an American organization shared UNICEF’s concern for improving child literacy in Europe’s most impoverished country. Learn more about our work in Moldova!
