Students in Tunisia making a “Hand of Friendship” at our 2008 workshops
Young classical musicians growing up in Tunisia have few opportunities to perfect their craft. Nearly every year since our founding in 2005, Cultures in Harmony has sent highly qualified musicians to offer workshops, master classes, and one-on-one instruction, partnering in recent years with Atlas Music Academy.
Cultures in Harmony is pleased to announce a new campaign to raise money for this music camp: “Hands of Friendship.”
Between today and July 31, every donor who gives at least $50 will receive a Hand of Friendship. In Tunisia, each of the students at the Atlas Music Academy will trace out his or her hand on paper and write a short, personal thank-you on it, which you will then receive. The goal is 60 new donations of $50, representing hands extending across the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, from the USA to Tunisia, offering friendship.
Over the next few weeks, we will post about students we’ve worked with in Tunisia to give you a better idea of who might grasp your Hand of Friendship.
